Diagnostic categories and their assessment - 6 hours combined
- Stress-related disorders according to ICD-11 and DSM-5
- PTSD, complex PTSD
- Comorbid disorders: depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, pain (acute or chronic), sleep disorders, mild traumatic brain injury, high-risk behaviors.
- Diagnostic issues (confusion between complex PTSD and personality disorders, failure to meet diagnostic criteria...)
- Criticism of current diagnostic systems and their alternatives (behavioral analysis, Power Threat Meaning Framework, Homeostatic Model of {Mental} Health...)
- Common behavioral and psychosocial problems (revictimization, domestic violence and abuse, aggression, suicide)
- Homeostatic Model of {Mental} Health (positive and negative allostatic load, window of tolerance, increased and decreased reactivity, restoration of homeostasis)
- Assessment of relevant disorders (including practical exercises): Screenings, self-assessments, interviews
The theoretical part is conducted online. The practical, experiential part focused on the development of necessary skills takes place during the week-long intensive session.
